VRCOP +3 Firmware

I am trying to ensure that my VRCOP has the most current firmware but the latest application note i can find is 2011. Is this really the most current? If not does anyone have a link for the latest?

If you haven't already, you mght try posting the question down in the HAI/Levition forum.  They occasionally monitor it.

The VRC0P+3 version is displayed on startup (shown using Hyperterminal). If you must flash VRC0P+3, the least hassle seems to be using a real COM port (and not a Serial USB converter).

Hi,
Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I am having problems updating the firmware on the VRC0P. I am using an old XP PC with physical COM port, but the verification keeps failing on the Zensys file. I have tried numerous times with no luck.
I can't find any recent updater and the link listed above is no longer valid.
Does anyone have the link to the latest update files?
Thanks,

A search on google pointed me to a thread on the leviton site: http://communities.leviton.com/thread/2896

The link at the end of that thread showed me a zip file, but I have not tried it. See if it contains the proper files. If not, I probably have the last version I downloaded around.

As an aside, I believe I was able to perform the update with Win7 and a USB/serial converter back when I did my install.

@cobra, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it is the same file I am using. It is a firmware from Nov. 2012. I don't know if it is the last one.

I have tried resetting the controller, but it gets stuck in the red blinking light.
This is my second controller. The first one refused to even communicate with the updater.
Any ideas on what to try?

I managed to finally get the controller to update to the new firmware and can include and exclude the device correctly. To upgrade it I had to go the Linux route. With a VERY OLD PC, I installed debian 8.6.0 i386 and with the help of a controller program here https://sourceforge.net/projects/vrc0p/?source=navbar managed to update the firmware. If someone ever finds a problem with updating the firmware, give this little program a try. Thanks to user cernekee for writing the code.
