Water Flow Sensor

I wonder if adding a Tee in my basement just before the pipe goes up to the shower would work? I would be concerned that everytime the other faucets get turned on it may sense the pressure change. Thats why I was thinking of a flow sensor. that paddle wheel sensor may work but at 150+ I dont know if this would reduce the WAF of the project....I did read about someone using a magnet and hall-effects sensor to create one for his water chiller for his computer processor. but I was afraid of adding anything to the pottable water line not intended to be there...

I use wireless humidity sensors in my bathrooms that controls the vent fans. This works great as you do not have to worry about the start or stop times.

I think the pressure switch would work best if it was installed downstream from the shower controller. That way the pressure will be 0 when off or something greater than 0 when on. I agree that if you put the switch in the basement it may be affected by other pressure variations in the house. I like Rupps idea! It focuses on the humidity which is what you want to get rid of!
