Water temp sensor for W800?

Thank You!

I thought I read about them before but could not remember the name. Now I will have to see if the Cinemar w800 plugin will read this sensor.

Thanks Again!

thartigh,
My assumption is that the RXCom unit tied to the W800Rf appears to "just" be "standard X10RF" info from the perspective of the MLW800RF plugin. So, there should be a means to display the data in MainLobby. This would have to be verified as the above is a "guess".

There is also a ML1WirePro plugin that is a hard wired 1-Wire solution that is working very well in Alpha. Soon will be in Beta. If you can get a Cat5 wire to your sensor location, this would be the best alternative. We are testing HobbyBoards hub right now to make sure the solution supports a Star Topology as well. More information will be posted once it is in Beta - which should be in the next week or so.

The developer has it monitoring his Geothermal heat pump system (not unlike monitoring a hot tub) and found some very interesting economy minded changes once he had the data to emprically see what was really going on with his system.

Note: X10 devices in the US use 310MHz while for Europe 433.92MHz is used.

Solution 1: W800 310MHz X10 receiver + RFXSensor 310MHz
To measure hot water temperatures the 60014N Water tight temperature sensor connected to an 40060N RFXSensor Type-1 310MHz can be used.
The RFXSensor Type-1, 2 and 3 data format is 32 bits NEC coded so it can be received by the W800. The RFXSensors are supported by the Homeseer ACRF plug-in.

Solution 2: RFXCOM 310MHz X10 receiver + RFXSensor 310MHz
To measure hot water temperatures the 60014N Water tight temperature sensor connected to an 40060N RFXSensor Type-1 310MHz can be used.
The RFXSensor Type-1, 2 and 3 data format is 32 bits NEC coded so it can be received by the RFXCOM receiver. The RFXSensors are supported by the Homeseer ACRF plug-in.

Solution 3: RFXCOM 433.92MHz X10 receiver + RFXSensor 433.92MHz
To measure hot water temperatures the 60014 Water tight temperature sensor connected to an 40061 RFXSensor Type-1 433.92MHz can be used.
The RFXSensor Type-1, 2 and 3 data format is 32 bits NEC coded so it can be received by the RFXCOM receiver. The RFXSensors are supported by the Homeseer ACRF plug-in.

Solution 4: RFXCOM 433.92MHz X10/Oregon receiver + Oregon temp sensor.
The new RFXCOM X10/Oregon Scientific receiver is able to receive all 433.92MHz X10 (including Digimax and RFXPower) and most Oregon Scientific sensors.
In variable length mode all the X10 and Oregon sensor data is transmitted to the USB COM port. The RFXCOM receiver is put into this variable length mode by the ACRF plug-in if the receiver is configured as an RFXCOM receiver. All X10 packets are supported by the ACRF plug-in including the Digimax and the RFXPower. The Oregon data packets are not yet supported by the ACRF plug-in in this mode.
The RFXCOM X10/Oregon Scientific receiver will operate like a W800 if the receiver is configured as a W800 in the ACRF plug-in. In this mode all 433.92MHz X10 packets are truncated at 32 bits and the temperature field (and only the temperature field)of the Oregon sensors is converted to RFXSensor format. The Digimax is partially supported and the RFXPower is not supported in 32 bit W800 mode.
