Westec parts

I have a Westec 3000 system in my house installed about 25 years ago and need a door sensor. My alarm company claims they can not repair it and I need to replace the system. I can't stand the idea of replacing the entire system when all I need is a $5 part. Any ideas where I can find part? Thanks for any assistance.

Is it a standard magnetic door contact? A picture would help.

If it is a standard contact then any replacement should work. Johnny 5 needs more input...

I believe this is the sensor-GE Security 3005-M Roller Plunger Contact, Brown.The repairman who came by said these were unique to Westec and were no longer available. Is that just a bunch of bs to sell a new system or will this contact work? I went ahead and ordered one on Amazon.

Some contacts have built in EOL resistors.  Perhaps that is what makes the old one unique to Westec.  But it would certainly be easy enough to take another contact without an EOL and add an appropriate resistor externally.   Trying out a replacement from Amazon or anywhere else is certainly easy enough to do.  You've got little to lose by doing so.

Use a meter and read an existing known good unit.

A quick search says westec probably uses 1500ohms - easy enough to replicate.
