There are plenty of 16 channel (8 stereo) D/A converters out there intended for music production. They'll likely have a lot of features you don't really need, and cost a lot more than you prefer (i.e. they'll be both A/D and D/A when you only need one half of that.) And the dedicated A/D and D/A units tend to be even more expensive since they probably figure only folks looking for really high end studio solutions will use separates I guess.
You'd probably do better buying two 8 channel ones, since there are more manufacturers in the lower price range that sell those. Maybe see if you can find two 1010s for sale used, which would be a good bargain.
Though, it's been a while since I've been shopping on this front, so things may have a changed a bit and I'm off in my assessment.
