I am just getting my system running (5.3.0) and testing it by calling me during an alarm so I can eventually use a monitoring service. I'm having trouble making a rule so the M1 will call me and also announce the normal alarm messages and siren through output1 at the same time.
If I use this rule:
"WHENEVER ANY BURGLAR ALARM, ANY AREA TURNS ON
THEN DIAL mycell (//XXXXXXX) AND ANNOUNCE Miscellaneous 1(vm239)"
M1 will only play the first siren then alarm message over the speaker connected to output1. Then the speaker messages stop while it calls my cell phone. When I hang up the speaker messages will continue. Is this normal behavior or should the speaker and phone call happen simultaneously?
If I use this rule:
"WHENEVER Area 1 (Area 1) is armed away
AND ANY ALARM, ANY AREA IS ACTIVE
THEN DIAL mycell (//XXXXXXX) AND ANNOUNCE Miscellaneous 1(vm239)"
M1 will not call my cell phone but the all alarm messages and siren are played on the speaker.
Both rules will call me when I use the "test a rule" button in ElkRP
