why am I not allowed to edit my own profile?

just curious, but when I try to edit my profile I get

[#1026] You are not permitted to modify all or some of your profile information.

is that normal? seems kinda odd really... not being able to edit someone elses profile makes sense, but not being able to edit my own? how does that work?

Spammers tend to use their profile to advertise their service, so new members are not allowed to make changes to it. But since you have made a few posts, you have automatically been upgraded, and should be able to make changes now.
