Window problem

Hey guys... I am looking to redo my living room where my home theatre system is and get a HDTV also. My wife would like to ditch the drapes we have and go with some blinds (preferable wood ones... either vertical or horizontal). The problem is that the window is large and faces the west. Does anyone know of a window blind solution will give the best room darkening?

I've bought blinds from these guys and they are really good to deal with.

The darkest I've seen are these Roman blinds.

They are not cheap though.

Just get a Plasma and you will not have to worry about darkening the room.
