Wireless Headphones

Hi,

I purchased a wireless headphone from Best Buy last week. I have them connected to the output of my cable box(not amplified). My hearing has never been the best(to much loud music) but now at 45, it seems a little worse. The volume is not the best, I would like it louder. My question is, has anybody had any experiance with wireless headphones and have they amplified the input first. I would like to purchase a small amp to connect to the cable box and then to the base of the wireless headphones. IE louder in louder out. If so, what you used to do this? The setup has a volume control on the base as well as the headset. The manf. is Rockfish.
Any suggestions will help me hear better..... :D

Thanks,

Your cable box has volume settings too. You should check to make sure they are up high enough for you headset now (not just your TV). Try the settings button on the cable box remote.

Dave,

Thanks, Thats not the problem. The box outputs are pre-amp level. The problem I have is, I do not know about these wireless headphones. I don't want to spend $150 and find out a small amp will not do what I want it to do and have to start all over again.
Thanks,

Mike :D

You can add a little mixer in between to amplify the audio. Those smallest 4 channel mixer sell for less than $30 and doing great on amplify the sound.
