Wireless sensors

I've been looking at my options for general I/O (digital, analog inputs, relay outputs). I want to go wireless to avoid running wires everywhere. I have an Elk and I'm going to use wireless sensors for that, but I prefer to keep that as my security system, and use some other equipment for monitoring light levels, temperatures, water flow, things like that.

I looked at rfxcom, and they are interesting, but a bit expensive. I would like something that will interface using wifi on my wireless network, or a serial port that I can plug into the Qualtech unit. USB is ok, but I prefer to have direct network communications. Also important is it has a publically available protocol I can use to write an interface to.

Anyone have any suggestions on what products to look at?

Well, with the amount of time it takes me to make a decision what to buy, whatever your super super secret is will probably be out before I decide.

They sound very interesting. I looked at their exclusive distributor's site, and I noticed (as you posted on the ADI site) that they were not listed that I saw. I wonder if they ever existed, or were just vaporware. I did see the AP900-G2 (http://www.automationtec.com/store/ap900-g2.php), but there is no information on exactly what it does, other than "Connect your Adnet network wirelessly!". No manuals to download, nothing. I have an Ocelot and it's nice, but I want to go wireless. Thanks for the post! I'll keep my eye on these.

I made the post on ADI after making the post here, and then going to ADI to look further into where they stood with them. That's when I noticed they were missing.

ADI builds very good products. Most are unique. I would sure hate to see them go away, but I am highly suspicious.

I see ADI answered you:

The AT modules are not dead. They are currently in testing still. We want these to be as rock solid a possible. We found the issues and have corrected them and are currently re-testing.

We apologize for the delay but we want these right before releasing them.
