With Elk M1, how can I make motion sensors work only when not home.

Im sure that this is easy but I cant figure out how to do it.
 
I have motion and door sensors. I would like it that when I am home, only the door sensors are armed but no the motion, but when I leave, they all are armed.
Am I supposed to make two different areas? Or is there a way to link some to home away, and others to home stay?

You can define the motion detector zone as "burglar interior" and then when you arm the system away the motion will arm and when you arm the system as stay the motion will not arm.

Ya that's the difference between armed Stay vs. Away - it's all in how you define the sensors.   Read up on the different types and what they do.

Pay close attention to the "burglar interior follower" option.  If a motion sensor covers the keypad area, you might get a rude surprise next time you enter the house if you don't use "follower".
