No. All X10 manufactured relay type modules use the solenoid driven latching relay. The Universal Module is different, but it is low voltage only. The problem with the SR277 is the way the way relay is mounted. FWIW the Appliance Module gatchel suggested and the wall switch WS13A uses the same solenoid relay but do not have the mounting bracket problem.
Thanks to all that replied. I've decided use an X-10 XPS3 wall switch, then run it's output to a standard receptacle. The XPS3 does use a relay to switch the power and this would give me the additional option of having local control of the receptacle.
