x10 cm15 and ubuntu 10.04 please help

hello, i don't know if this forum is the correct, sorry if don't. I have a light module and the cm15a controller. I can turn on/off with a perl script but i have no idea how to request the status of the light, please help me. I have read a lot of documentation but nothing. I'm using ubuntu 10.04

What is the model of the Lamp Module?
If it is not a LM14A it will not respond to an X10 Status Request as it is a one way module.

hi,
i'm using the ncherry's driver to send order's to my CM15 on ubuntu 9.10 by PERL scripts (including the misterhouse's X10::CM15 library), i'd like to now how to send a status request then read feedback from the module (after sending a status request for example).
all i've managed to do is:
- send on/off orders
- send DIM/BRIGHT order but this didn't work well with my lm12 module the DIM order switches off the light then i have to send 2 BRIGHT orders to get a little lighting
