XEP installation--virtual keypad

Plugging along, piece by piece. Installing the XEP is next. It all went well (now that I know how to enroll devices ;o)), local network only (for now), except when I got to the virtual keypad (VK).

It sort of works for the limited things I currently have hooked up, but the window in the Java app which I think is supposed to indicate what is in the LCD window on the keypad seems to have problems knowing what state it is in.

For example, right now I started the VK app again, and the window reads "Armed Vacation" but the system is actually disarmed, and I disarmed it right before I last shut the VK down. It seems to show one step behind the actual state, even when I hit the refresh button.

Any ideas?

Heh, just re-enroll it :)

Do you have all boxes under serial port 0 on the Globals G29-42 tab checked? Are the states correct in the status screen in RP?

Oh, and BTW, on the enrolling - you know you can enroll devices from within RP as well, not just from a keypad.

Edit: I guess Delicious types alot faster than me!

Thanks guys. I missed one previously as I was clicking those boxes. That fixed it.

Steve: which states in the RP status screen are you referring to? Do you mean the zone status that comes up when I click the "status" icon at the top?

Thanks for the tip on enrolling from RP.

Yea, the status screen. You mentioned arming state and that and the zone status are on the status screen.
