Z-Wave Library BETA now available.

This is the library used in LumenLink and in my automation engine project's Vizia RF driver.

The intent of this library is to provide a very simple intuitive interface to the Leviton Vizia RF RZC0P serial module.

All Vizia RF commands documented by Leviton are supported as well as many custom asynchronous events.

Prerequisites:
  • Microsoft Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, or newer.
  • Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework must be installed.
  • Leviton ViziaRF RZC0P Serial Interface Module connected to PC.
  • In order to receive on the fly node level changes, you must associate all devices/nodes with the RZC0P. This is done via the System Setup -> Advanced-> HAI Setup menu in the Vizia RF Primary Remote. See the RZC0P instructions for details.
  • Some features may require a Vizia RF primary controller.

Any feedback is welcome.

Thanks,
Johnny

Wanting to but unsure about buying the RZCOP to do it, I have the USB stick from Intermatic.

EDIT: Tried it as it appears the Intermatic is just USB>Serial internally but selecting it's COM port (8) no worky. :o

I hope to try it, but right now I'm sidetracked tinkering with HomeDaemon.

I've been typing all my RZC0P commands by hand with TeraTerm, and it's getting old. Lately I've been psychoanalyzing the new Hawking Tech door/window sensor to discover what settings it supports.

I'd like to see the Vizia .NET library used to create an application that could probe any new device that comes along, create a list of settings supported by that device, and then spawn a new configuration tab specifically for that device. Call it a Z-Wave device configurator. Look at all the settings supported by the ESI motor controller. Who can remember all those settings, and who wants to type them all in by hand?

A Leviton RZ0CP is required, the api does not support the intermatic usb stick.
