    UPB restart?

I finally managed to get a version 2.0 UPB (SA 140) switch installed in my house and the UPStart offered a choice of delays from 300-750ms.  The 300ms delay works really well.  What used to be  a show stopper for UPB seems to be now solved...though interestingly with echo dot's in the house I...

    Alexa UPB Bridge

FWIW, I have recently moved to homeseer and have Alexa (multiple Echo Dot's) controlling UPB and Zwave lights.  It isn't perfect yet but it works pretty darn well.  It basically was controlling things in minutes once I installed the Alexa Skill.  The main issue was that names that work for...

    UPB restart?

These must be the older switches as they are definitely the  downright annoying 750ms and they are not adjustable from UPStart (even the one SA one) I fully understand the purpose of the delay (though I do notice that nobody seems to complain about "delay" on their mouse when they single and...

    UPB restart?

I have various LED and incandescent lamps.  All of them when connected to a normal light switch feel instant and on UPB have a noticeable delay that people react to.  I have them configured to snap in UPB start.  I have single and double tap set to the same thing (snap 100%), I have tested many...

    UPB restart?

Guys, I have one switch configured to switch the local load (presumably there are no links being sent).    Both single and double tap are configured to snap (e.g. no ramp) the local load on and off.   This should be the fastest way to switch the load (by my recollection).   I estimate the delay...

    UPB restart?

Way back in 2007/2008 I did a HA system that integrated UPB, CADDX, Temperature Measurement, Sensors on every door and every window, power monitoring all with a hacked  interface to  my blackberry.  Cocoontech saved me many times! I have a new house and would like to restart using current...

    HD Player for Restaurant

Went to the website and found some very good documentation on how to make it work. Turns out the Micca doesn't support MP4 with H.264. Sort of a problem if your whole library is 264 but for my neighbor it is going to work out. Since he is making everything moving forward.

    HD Player for Restaurant

So we bought the one Dan suggested and just my luck it doesn't work :( Online it says it plays mp4, the manual says it plays mp4 but of course the mp4s that I've been using for years on SageTV and VLC won't play... unsupported format. Argh.

    HD Player for Restaurant

I know there are lots out there but I'm looking for the ability to play a bunch of movies in a row, sort of a play list, so they don't need to keep selecting movies throughout the day. If the player can't do that it is a bust. Features like that usually don't make the feature list so I'm...

    HD Player for Restaurant

I have a buddy with a Restaurant and he wants to setup a TV that plays a bunch of surf movies all day while people are waiting or dining. Ideally accessing the movies off of a thumb drive would be best. My sagetv unit would work perfectly, but it appears that these aren't really available with...

    UPB HELP!!! Having Problems

I have found that UPS's can kill UPB signal significantly. Here is a thread that talks about UPB signal issues: http://www.cocoontech.com/forums/?showtopic=12073&hl=UPB%20smartups&st=15

    Usocket review

I got my usocket last week after ordering (and paying for it on March 4th). I called last Monday and they said it would ship the next day. A bit suspicious but it wasn't killing me. It arrived on Friday. The kit is well thought out and the instructions are clear, showing how to hook it up...

    Door Open Warning

When I say alarm going off, it is a friendly alarm. It doesn't need to be loud but it needs to remind them it isn't OK A client of mine has a temperature/humidity controlled room and it is very important that it stay that way. Signs aren't cutting it as they still occasionally forget or prop...
