Spanky, The Elk M1 software is 4.3.10. The temp is being displayed via a message to the keypads. The incorrect temperatures also show when I open up the virtual keypad in internet explorer. Thanks.

I've looked through numerous postings here and at the ELK dealer forum and cannot seem to find the answer to my problem. The problem is my outside zone temperature sensor displays temperatures like 270 or 280 degrees celsius as soon as the temperature falls below 0 celsius. Seems like it shows...

Was wondering about this myself as my system will sometimes make that error in the sound when the chime goes off (when opening a door or window). System works fine, otherwise. Dunno the solution though.

Any ideas on how much this new arming station will cost? Looks very nice.

Okay guys... you quickly and correctly answered my questions again! I tried hooking the rain sensor directly to an input on my ELK and........ it works just like any normally closed alarm contact. Great! Thanks. Now I have to start dreaming up some good rules for this new functionality...

Wondering what you guys may have tried and found out about keeping deer and elk out of your gardens short of an 8' high fence or electric fence. Oh, and the neighours will not appreciate gunfire either!

Trying to figure out how to wire up 24VAC Solenoid type residential sprinkler valves to be controlled directly by the ELK. Dry contact relays won't work since I understand 24VAC needs to go to the valve to make it work. Could incorporate a transformer and a dry contact relay for each zone, but...

Another great option that ELK has are the circuit board glides... ELK-SWG.

Thanks for all the good info. Yes, there is a streetlight at the end of the driveway with a 60W bulb in it, so I guess a night vision camera will be able to see better than if it were pitch dark. As far a budget goes, I need to keep things under $500 for now. Seems a real cheap solution is...
