Problems enrolling ELK-M1XRFEG on my ELK M1

I recently disconnected an M1XIN that was no longer needed from my M1. I replaced the jumper on the data bus hub, removed the expander from the system, and hit the 'enroll' button on the software to update everything. Weirdly the ELK-M1XRFEG is not registering on the system. It has power, but...

    Thermostat for a heatpump/dehumidifier

I just had installed a Trane/Mitsubishi P-series ducted mini-split (TRUZA0301HA70NA) with a dehumidifier (Envirowise 70V). In order to work with my Nest thermostat my installer also put in a PAC-US444CN-1 thermostat controller interface.   I have been reading that this isn’t the best way to...

Control Da-lite screen and Chief projector lift

I am installing a Da-lite drop-down screen and a Chief SL236 projector lift in my ceiling. I want to hit a button on my phone that would cause the screen to drop, the lift to drop and the projector to come on.   Looks like the Da-lite screen has a 110V connected to the up/down/stop switch. The...

Bypass remote on 6-speed DC Monte Carlo fan?

Its a montecarlo maverick fan with a 6-speed DC motor. I want to integrate it with my Lutron Caseta system somehow, as well as operate it from a wall switch. With 3 kids remotes dont last long... Sounds like some RF replacement for the remote is the way to go...

    Elk Zone exp no comm

Getting a sporadic communication error on my Elk M1 zone expander. Just started after 6months of faultless operation. Some sort of databus issue? Trouble is I am away from home and the random keypad beeping is driving my wife crazy. Anyway it can be silenced through Elk RP? Or another way? Thanks!

Elk Rule to un-latch smoke detector

Thanks for the response! Very helpful. Unfortunately no spare wires in the cat5 cable. I might try your relay idea and see if it works. I’ll report back...

Elk Rule to un-latch smoke detector

OK I get it. Thanks! I was going to use the built in output relay on the elk P212S supervised remote power supply, following the manual: Output "B" Functionality: The local "Output B" relay is free to be used as a programmable output when the P212S is used in M1 mode. In other words, in the M1...

Elk Rule to un-latch smoke detector

Hmmm no idea how I can reach the back house with the SAux from the M1. Yes it does have a relay. Not sure if I fully understand your advice. Surely all the SAux does is allow a temporary power disruption to unlatch from the smoke's alarm state? Surely this is equally possible with a relay...

Elk Rule to un-latch smoke detector

I am trying to put together a small alarm system in my back house (Area 2) driven by a ELK-P212S Supervised Remote Power Supply that is connected via a long cable to my Elk M1 in the main house (Area 1).   There's a 4-wire smoke detector in the back house connected via a relay driven by the...

Ahh I thought that may be the case. Can someone suggest a simple alternative?

System Sensor smoke 2112ATL and Elk remote zone expander

Folks, trying to reuse an existing System Sensor 2112ATL smoke alarm with a remote elk zone expander and P212S power supply.   For S-AUX I was planning on connecting the +12VDC to the relay output on the PS12S to momentarily cut power to the smokes to unlatch and reset them.   However I am...
