I will be running some sprinkler wire from one of my elk panels in the house with the relays boards out to my outbuilding where two of my ten zones are located.
If i get an 8 conductor bundle, i would be able to use the 5 other lines to provide power to smokes/motion detectors or provide other relay outputs (to open the garage door on my shop). It will probably be just over 100' to get from panel to panel and then branch out from there up to another 25'.
1) I assume 18AWG is fine for this purpose right and i don't need 14?
2) i know i'll need to use a dedicated ground for the sprinkler feeds vs the Elk VAUX/etc connections, but can i share a ground connection between VAUX/SAUX for example?
