31A00-7 Temp Sensor on OPII - How to Configure?

I wired up a 31A00-7 Temp Sensor to my OmniPro II panel *EXACTLY* as shown on the instruction sheet (http://www.homeauto.com/Downloads/Products/Accessories/31A00-7.pdf), and I have PCAccess installed, running and connected to the panel (Zone 10).

In PCAccess I went Setup->Zones-> and renamed Zone 10. Connected and then pushed that config up to the panel. Under Status/Control, I see a 'NOT READY' and a number value constantly changes in the LOOP field.

What am I doing wrong? The HAI documentation that comes with both the panel and the sensor show the exact same info about wiring the sensor up. Great. I think I have that covered. What it doesn't tell me is how to start reading and using that value. Can someone help, please?

Have you performed this step?

"Program the zone type for the temperature output (T) as an Extended Range device: ER Outdoor Temperature (Type 85), ERTemperature (Type 86), or Temperature Al
arm (Type 87) based on the application".

That's what I can't figure out how to do!!!! :P

I don't have the drop down to choose that. Could it be that I haven't stuck the 1000 ohm resistor inline? A resistor is not shown in the wiring diagrams but mentioned in the OPII install manual.

The temp zone does not need resistor. It looks like you have a consumer version of PC Access, so it may not let you choose the zone type. You should still be able to set the type from the console using installer's password, but if you plan to add sensors and do more with your panel, you may need to get the Dealer version.
