40 LED bulb at the store

I read a review where they completely tore down the bulb and examined the components. It uses two large LEDs (made of small cells under larger top portions) to give very broad light. The electronics are well made, being machine-assembled on a small circuit board inside (with a minimum of solder joints, which tend to be the Achilles heel of LED bulbs). Overall, they seemed quite pleased with the construction quality, so there's no surprise about the 5-year warranty. Though keeping documents in a file for your light bulbs might seem a little weird

Check it out if you're into the nitty-gritty details.

There was talk of a 60 watt eq. being available soon. Most of the places I would want one of these would be 60 watt output, so I plan on a little more wait and see.

I was in Menards / Home Depot last week and happened to glance over at their LED spots. It appears now that the $60-80 ones now are priced at around $50 on the discount shelf. Wondering if they will continue to discount them as they were probably not selling many?
