Anyone use the Brother PT2100 labeller?

I know, it's unlikely I'll find anyone who does in this heavily "Rhino" crowd....so don't look down upon me too bad for asking about this budget option.

I was skeptical that it would do what I want (print across the label repeatedly so I can label my wires with it), but I checked its manual online and it does indeed have a template for "Cable wrap", and it shows a small amount of text (like maybe 6 characters) being printed across the label, and then repeated many times. So that'd be sufficient, I think, for basic labelling of all my wires. I know I can come up with a simple 6 char code for each location.

This is my best chance so far for getting a labeller of any kind, cause it's on sale at buy.com. But I'd still like to confirm that it does what it shows...in case anyone has one?

I have a 1650 and works fine, was able to get up to 12 or 13 characters on the cable wrap template you are referring to and the font was still a reasonable size. Attached a pic but the qualitys not so good.

I was just about to hit "Buy", when I noticed that the 3/4" label roll I added to the cart says 26" long. Now, I'd just assume that they really mean 26 feet long...but can you confirm that? All over the buy.com site, it says 3/4" by 26". That's pretty bad, even by buy.com standards.

Link worked. Different label than the 2100 takes (only 3/4" max). But ya, I feel confident it's just a website error.

Doh, the excuses I have for not terminating all my wire are rapidly fading!

Just wanted to update and say that, after 3 months of sitting on the shelf, I finally used the 2100 for labelling wires, and I'm QUITE happy with it. It's very very handy because I just used my PC downstairs and the Brother software to make the labels and then just used the labeller as the printer. So making and changing labels was darn quick, and a lot easier than using the labeller display. Multi-line wire wrap labels was easy too.

Yay, I labelled something!!!
