availability of wind sensor

Hello

I'm decided to build my own 1-wire weather station with Hobby boards.
The problem is that the wind sensor WIND-R3-A seems to be out of stock. Also on AAG website.

Where can I find this to start my station ?

Thank you for your proposal.

I just got an Inspeed Vortex. I'm currently using the "bicycle computer" readout but I'm hoping that I can rig it up to work with 1-wire - I think it will just require a counter.

For direction I hope that the Inspeed e-Vane is a possibility - I was about to ask here about using that with 1-wire - I'll do that in a separate topic rather than hijack your thread.

Hello Thank you for this info. It will be easy to install a 1-wire couter on it.

But what about wind direction measurement ?

The vortex unit contains a reed switch and comes with a long cable. My theory is that I run the cable into a waterproof box containing a HB 1-wire Dual Counter and have that count the switch closures, then use software to get speed data from analysis of the count. If you look at the schematic for the AAG you'll see that this is essentially what goes on in there (though for some reason I'm not clear about I think the AAG actually has 2 reed switches sensing the cup rotation).

But what about wind direction measurement ?
I'm hoping I can use the Inspeed e-vane for that. The feasibility of that is a bit more "experimental", but I'm sure it ought to be possible one way or another...
