Bluetooth GPS receiver AND iGuidance 3.0 for $49 + Free Shipping

It's definitely a great deal, and looks like it works with my PDA as well, so I am happy. Some of the 4.0 features are really interesting tho, especially the TTS part.

Yea, I just feel really bad that I said in the post that you could upgrade to 4.0 for $10. I should have done more research before posting that. Who would have known that 2 companies release the same software, and one of em is doing a $10 upgrade and one is not. That just pain sux. Sorry to all of you guys that bought it at my word, thinking you could get 4.0 and all.

Price is now showing as $123.99, guess I missed it.

There may not have been as much to miss as we thought ;-)

Obtaining the upgrade requires registering at http://www.inavcorp.com/registration.php?r...t=reg_sent.html .

And registering requires a serial number.

And the OEM software version shipped with the iogear product installs without a serial number.

At the INAV registration page http://www.inavcorp.com/registration.php?r...t=reg_sent.html , I tried all the cryptic numbers on the iomega box, and Clubit invoice and packing slip as the serial number but none were accepted.

The "About Navigation System" choice on the installed SW pops up " IOGear navigation system Version 2.1EN Copyright 2002-2005 Netropa Corporation visit us at http://www.iogear.com ".

ABIK, the upgrade is for version 3.0 -- not 2.1 which is what one gets from iogear.

In any case, how would one proceed w/o a serial number?
(The deadline to complete the process is today. I see now that others have bumped to the sn issue too and got the explanation.)
