Has anyone programmed their Caddx NX-470 Key FOB Function Buttons for controlling devices? I've got a Caddx NX-8E panel and with a NX-540E expansion module for event and X10 control. For the most part I think I got the device control part of the programming down. In my case, I'm using a button on key fob to control a garage door with an X10 relay module and it's working just fine.
However, what I'd like to do is use multiple key fobs each controlling different garage doors. Basically, have my wife's key fob function button close her garage bay door and my key fob function button close/open my garage bay door. The two X10 relay modules I'm using each have a different device address and each of the events in the NX-540E respond properly when pressing the button on the key fob except the fact that both doors open and close no matter which key fob I use.
I need to separate them out and according to the manual I should be able to specify a Zone/User number to select which zone can trigger the event. So what I did was specify the different zones each of the Key fobs are programmed to to separate them out. However, no matter what both key fobs seem to always trigger the event for each of the doors when the button is pressed. It's like it's only looking for the key fob function button press rather than restricting it to the zone that the key fob is assigned to.
I was wondering if someone has set this up before and knows where I might be going wrong as the manual isn't too detailed in this area when it comes to multiple key fob use.
If anyone has any questions on the basic setup for getting the function keys working, let me know and I can help out with that part. I'm just stuck on having each key fob do different functions.
