CAI WebControl Logger [Software]

I created a program through autoit that will log the webcontrol board stats to a text file. The program includes an options file that controls which stats to log, where to log them and the name of the text file, how often to log them and to what ip address to get the stats from. Its just an alpha program, but it seems to work well for me. The program does not work with security, so you can't have a login setup on the board. Its very basic, but does the job.

The program consist of two files. An executable and the options text file. If you have worked with the board, the options file is very easy to understand.

If anyone would like have it, send me a message with your email and I'll zip the program to you.

New silent upgrade.
Change code to Brute Force stopping logging function.
Will be executed when logging off the program.
This will remove problems when program still claims that the logging function still is running.

If anybody is running this app on XP, or older Windows systems please reply.
I just want to know that the installer+app is XP safe.

.5 Runs fine on my XPsp2. .5 does not run on Server2008R2 which should be the same as win7. Error is QProGif.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered or a file is missing or invalid.
It does run on 2008 just need to install with run as admin and then run prog as admin. I still have to get it to connect but I think that is a firewall issue.

V1.4.6 is soon ready.
I will be off for 10 days or so, so next relase will have to wait.
Have done some changes in the code, and a few layout changes.
Since the code now is over 11000 lines, I need to use more time to add comments. (When I started the code was just 1000 lines...)
So, I was a bit relaxed about the comments in the code!

Lars,

Can your logger software log more than one boards at the same time. Also, is there someway users can base on one board's status to set VAR or TTL output on another board?

Thanks for your wonderful work!

My software can't log two boards at the same time.
And, it can't base one board's status to set VAR or TLL output on another board.

But, I belive some of this can be done by some programming.
Logging two cards, can be done by running two windows of the program.
Or, rewrite and include this in the original program.

To set VAR/TLL on another board can be done. (I hope)
But., I think the best is to make a free standing program to do this.
I'm just in the thinking department, but I have some ideas about how to...

I'm getting "Component QProGIF.oxc or one of its dependancies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" error after the install and launch. I have Windows 7.

Made a silent upgrade. Changed some properties in the installer.
Please try to download and reinstall.
Hope this helps...

This time it installed and I entered a password then "Run time error 339: Component MSinet.ocx or one of the dependancies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

Sony Laptop, Windows 7.
