Can you change the values of a custom setting via rules?

Hi all...i'm trying to come up with rules for the temperature control of my house..

It seems i need seperate settings for winter and summer...but i don't want to use up too many custom settings..

Can i make a rules change the value of a Custom setting?

Hi,

I don't think that you can change a custom value with rules.
You can change them via the RS-232 control protocol, so if you have some external HA software running maybe you could use some date driven rules to modify the values in the M1.

I ran into the same problem, couldn't find a way to do it. I believe I used a counter instead and set it every few minutes to the custom value. Other daytime modes were just +/- from that value.
