Chamberlain Opener Control

@Ryan,

Doing the same here with the new GDO and same button you modified.

Project has been on the todo list now for a couple of years.

Looked at your picture and not sure about soldering the two wires.

Did you utilize SW2 terminals or the larger tabs to the right of the SW2 terminals?   IE: it appears that they are connected.

BTW the security board went out in one GDO a couple of weeks ago.

I had to order it directly from Chamberlain as no local dealers would sell me the security board.

Soldered a blue and red wire to switch tabs and used a red and white wire for digital leads. Tinned ends of wires.

Tested / programmed button using two wires attached to current GDO button. Worked fine.

Tested opener wires connecting them to the combo SonOff temperature sensor, open and close sensor and relay device.

Here is a picture of the concoction.

Will probably utilize same button for OmniPro 2 panel.

I soldered directly to the pins coming off the push button switch. There isnt much margin for error with the iron. I tinned the wires first, then soldered using only the solder already on the tinned wire.

Thank you Ryan.

Yeah here used flux and a tiny tip but it was still a bit difficult using 22 guage stranded wire.

I used those little hands with clamps on them to hold the board and the wire in place while soldering while soldering under a large circular magnifying glass with lamp build in.

It looked clean under the magnifying glass.  Tested it and it worked fine.  The garage door here uses two reed sensors (now doubled) for door position down and up.
