Changing HAI Encryption Keys

I am stuck on something that may be simple...

I lost my USB drive with installed and working SnapLink on it. My concern is that if it is found someone will be able to get immediate access to my system. Of course, the encryption keys for the unit are entered into the SnapLink software and can be made visible by clicking on the lock icon. I have Dealer PC Access software and can only find a place to change it in the software for connection purposes... I can't seem to find a way to change the keys? Any ideas?

Any better way to lock down the system? I guess this is one downside to the ease of use and simple connection via SnapLink, etc.

Thanks in advance!!

I've never attempted it but I believe youi need to make the change via the KP or a direct serial connection. Under 'configure' in PC Access, the change in encryption key wouldn't make the change iun the panel but would prevent you from connecting via the network. I may be wrong though. Like I said, I've never needed to change a key.

From the installer manual:

"ENCRYPTION KEY
Encryption and decryption of data between the OmniPro II controller and the connected device is based on the Advanced
Encryption Standard (AES) using a 128-bit cryptographic key. A unique encryption key is randomly assigned to each OmniPro II
controller at the factory (no records of these keys are kept at the factory). It may be left the same (recommended) or it may be
changed as desired. To view and assign the encryption key, from the previous Setup item (PORT NUMBER), press the down
arrow key (↓).
ENCRYPTION KEY PT 1:
6F-1B-26-A2-FF-D9-E4-12
This key consists of 16 bytes (that is 16 2-digit values from 0-9 and/or the letters A-F). It is entered into the controller in two
parts (PT 1 and PT 2) consisting of 8 bytes each. Enter the 2 digit value. To enter the digits A-F, first press the “OFF” key, then
press the 0-5 key respectively (i.e. A1 = OFF 0 1 and CB = OFF 2 OFF 1). After the last digit (16th digit) has been entered, press
the “#” key to store “PT 1” of the encryption key. Press the down arrow key (↓) to enter “PT 2” of the encryption key.
ENCRYPTION KEY PT 2:
DC-67-48-8F-D1-3A-EF-70↑
After the last digit (16th digit) has been entered, press the “#” key to store “PT 2” of the encryption key."

Hope that helps!

Just go to installer mode using the install code.  The default install code is 1111.
If the installer code was changed then maybe you could use PCA in serial mode.
It is written that you have to send you board back to Leviton to retrive or reset the installer code.

I am thinking for PCA in serial mode you do not need to use the installer code.  It is under account information ==> code for informational purposes.

It is under setup==> miscellaneous settings ==> installer code.

I have never changed it this way and always used the console keypad.

On the console:

1 - push on the setup key (#9)
2 - enter your installer code - default is 1111 (if not then try to get it with a serial PCA connection)
3 - go to MISC
4 - cursor down to Encription key #1 and #2.
