Check Garage Door rule worked and not working now...

Hello,

My Check Garage Door rule is not working... It worked for quite some time and now it pops up couple minutes after opening garage door or some time till the defined time. What am I missing here?

Also, my text messages from m1g have been delayed sometimes. that also started happening recently. Appreciate it.

Can you verify that your Counter 9 is actually working? I recently had an issue where my ELK counters starting acting flakey, then stopped working entirely. In other words, they would not change values, at all. On the advice of an ELK tech, I had to reset my panel and it fixed the problem.

How do you verify functionality of the counter? What's involved to reset the m1g? Thank you Mark!

My issue is discussed in this Cocoontech thread.

If you run Homeseer or Home Assistant with your ELK, you can see the current values of your variables on those systems. If not, I think you can see the values on an ELK LCD keypad. If you don't have that either, then you can set up a simple ELK rule that only speaks or turns on something when a counter increments - if that simple thing won't work, then your counters probably aren't working.

As far as resetting the panel, I wouldn't do it unless you are sure you have the same problem as I did, just because there is always a risk of something going wrong. First, make sure you have a backup of your entire configuration on RP2.

It's been a looooong time since I interfaced with an Elk M1, but why do you need a rule that fires every second? Could you do the same instead of one second, use five seconds or ??? and adjust the counter values?
