Connecting ELK-73 speaker

Just received my ELK/CADDX stuff. I noticed that the ELK-73 speaker has stranded wire tinned at the ends. What is the recommended wire to run to the control panel? I will be running Cat 6e cable to the location where the speaker will be installed. Is it OK to connect the speaker wires to Cat 6e cable or should I run a separate 2 conductor wire for the speaker?

I would use a 18/2 stranded for speakers/sirens

For those automation speakers like the Elk-73, the cat6 wires will be plenty.

I assume the ELK-900-2 or 902-2 "B" connectors will work with the tinned ends of the speaker wires. Is the gel variety the way to go?

Gel is not needed for indoor no moisture locations.
