ELK and time adjustment

Let's say our sprinkler rule is "TURN ON OUTPUT 10 for 30 mins". Let's assume that OUTPUT 10 is turned ON and has been running for 10 mins. Now, we go to RP and changes the 30 mins to 15 mins. Will ELK follow the new setting or the old setting?

Thanks!

Update:
I just tried the test and I will know the results in 6 mins.

So, what you're saying, is the self destruct posted in one of the other threads would never be able to be canceled? B)

I'm confused about the self destruct you are talking about. I haven't seen that thread. Anyways, what I was mentioning is that ELK uses the old value in memory at the time the event got triggered. I pushed a new value to the custom variable but ELK continued to run my sprinkler and didn't use the new duration I sent.

And that makes perfect sense. Those are not real-time settings. Once that rule has been tripped it will run for whatever it was set at. The next time it triggers it will run at whatever the new value is.
