ELK M1 Keypad flash

This may be normal, Im surprised if it is that it wouldn't be mentioned in the Elk docs somewhere if so though. I have an Elk M1G and the keypad in the bedroom (may be other keypads, but this one I notice), I notice every now and then that the keypad flashes as if power was cycled to it (all of keys light very briefly, sometimes I hear a relay in the ELK click periodically as well, i assume these are related) I would say this happens perhaps ever hour or two? (not sure if it follows an exact time period).

Anyone know if this is normal behavior? or should I look in to it further?

Thanks,
-Allan

Is the main unit testing the battery and possibly running the whole system on battery during that test?

That might explain why it acts like an AC loss, as its cutting over to the battery.

I believe the battery test is done at 4:oo PM every day, if that helps any...

This seems to happen multiple times during a 24 hour period. Does the battery check occur more than once i.e. more than just at 4:00pm?

I only notice this on one of my keypads within sight of my couch, my others (4 total out of 5) may do the same. I chalked it up originally to using a lot of DBHR's, however it looks like I might not be alone.

Nothing to do with a battery or load test, as that is dynamic and based off time, not a regular interval.

I have two keypads and I have noticed it only on the ELK-M1KP2. It will happen at random times during the day but with no impact to its functionality.
