Elk M1 temperature sensor thermocouple type?

Hey everyone, 1st time poster here with a good question.

My I have my Elk M1 Gold setup for a bunch of temperature zones, but the sensors that Elk (and HAI, for that matter) are rediculosly overpriced. I have access to a million different kinds of temperature senors by Trane, Johnson Controls, Andover Controls, etc, etc. I will be trying a 1k thermocouple sensor with a "type c" curve, but wanted to know if anone had any ideas as to what the actual type of sensor is.

Thanks!

Per Spanky: The M1ZTS blinks with its 1 second per bit manchester encoded data of the temperature

You can search here for "manchester" for more posts. IIRC, the sensor is an LM34, but the encoding is the tricky part.

Bummer, I was hoping the output was a K or 4-20ma, or at worst a 0-5V type output, but to compensate for line losses, and lack of offsets, it makes sense that they are sending it as a bitstream.... Just noticed another thread with this being discussed... will follow up there.....

BTW, a big shout out to everone on here; very informative nice people you all are :-)
