Elk M1 zone sensor power requirements

Can anyone tell me the power requirements of a magnetic zone sensor on the Elk M1? I have seen sensors rated from 100ma to 300ma but have never heard anyone speak of how much power is supplied to a zone circuit or how the rating is going to affect the lifespan of the switch.

I ask because I have found a switch that will work for me in a tight spot but it is only rated to carry 100 milliamp @28v.

TIA, Mike.

I can't tell you a specific number since I've never measured it, but the M1 is most likely putting out something on the order of 5 milliamps.  This is based on the voltage drop you would see across the EOL resistor, if you had one installed.  A 100 mA rated contact will be more than adequate.
