Well it has to be soon!! I just got a new catalog from one of my distributors and Elk had a ad in it showing it.

Thats a slick little unit that would be handy for the master bedroom..I assume all you need is a cat5 to the Elk to run it?

Yep, cat5 will be fine.

Hopefully we'll see them later this fall/early winter.

Are you sure you want it for the master bedroom? If there is an alarm in the middle of the night, assuming you don't have an indoor speaker, wouldn't you like to read on the keypad where the intrusion occured?
