I am reposting this here so it does not get lost where I first posted it.

Elk M1 Training Video on-line @ http://www.kanak.com/m1training.asp

This video covers Unpacking and general overview. It also covers programming the M1 from a keypad.

Elk RP Training Video on-line @ http://www.kanak.com/rptraining.asp

This video covers using the Elk RP Software to program the M1 and M1EZ8

There is a limit of no more then 2 videos can be played at once.

David, Can we see about making this a sticky and I will add RP information here as soon as I get it done.

Just letting everyone know I now have the Elk M1 Training Video on-line @ http://www.kanak.com/m1training.asp

I may have missed the explaination, but why must the videos be streamed and played from your site instead of being downloaded and played locally? Wouldn't that save bandwidth in the long run?

Download once and watch as many times as needed to get the message.

Just curious! :)

Encoding the video to Microsoft Media Server for streaming cut the size of the videos in half. Otherwise all the videos take a full CD of space.

Kirk,

I book marked your site last year and have finally started my install but I can only run the first video on unpacking the M1, are the others still available?

Thanks.

John

I am also unable to play any training videos after the first two. Is there some other link where i can find these or some way to get the videos to work?

The links to the videos are not working.

I am having the same problem. I have clicked on the links (different lessons) about 4 dozen times and only once has a video come up (Unpacking Video). Is it possible that the servers only allow one or two connections at a time, and it's all about the timing?

Any guidance would be great.

Here is an alternate site for the video download if you are having problems.

http://m1dealer.elkproducts.com/

Thanks!
In case anyone else goes to that link and gets nothing when you click on the various topics, your firewall is probably set "very unpermissive," as mine is generally kept. To view them (I only tried one so far) I had to remove my firewall's block for embedded objects (java, ActiveX).

In a related question, are the webcasts and self-paced web courses that are available at http://www.elkproducts.com/products/m1/m1t...eb_training.htm
subsets of those M1 and RP Training videos, or do they cover additional topics not covered in the Training Videos?

The SETNET training is a different training program and is very good.
The SetNetPro Elk training videos are the same ones as on the Elk dealer website.

At least the first 2 - Unpacking and Terminal Layout.

Edit - And the Kanak videos are also the same.

David, is that you in the videos? :p
