Experience with ultrasonic sensors for Z-wave?

I've just broken into Z-wave with a Vera2 and two CA8900 thermostats for two different HVAC units. Next up is a Kwikset deadbolt & some dimmers. I'm wondering about the use of a Novitas 01-160 for monitoring activity/motion in the entryway to turn on/off lights. Has anyone used this device?

I have never heard of these, but if they are good occupancy sensors I would be very interested in seeing how they work in a Vera or homeseer environment.

Just to circle back on this, i ask about it over on the home seer forums and one of the guys over there found the specs and this device is not a z-wave device. The only way to use these devices in the way that I think was being asked would be to figure out a way to use it as a contact sensor, like at the end of a ds10a.

If aeon labs review these posts then maybe they can comment on when the aeon labs multi sensor will be coming out as well?

Understood--I've seen similar non-Z-wave sensors by Novitas, but the model I was referring to is advertised as Z-wave capable:

Go for one and let us know if it really has a built in Z-Wave radio. If it doesn't you should still be able to use it as it produces contact closure.

Has anyone ever tried using these? I am planning to order one and see if I can interface it to a ds10/12 in order to get more reliable occupancy detection but i cannot find any manuals online to read about hostile device is wired.
