Fridge/Freezer ckt monitor

If you are using a fridge/ freezer combo that has an ice maker you usually can sneak a probe in near the ice maker pipe where it enters the freezer cavity. I have done it and was able to re-use the foam insulating grommet that came with the fridge. The electronics can be mounted on the fridge of the wall in the back.

I don't think you want to monitor current. The freezer normally cycles on and off, or it could be drawing current with the door open or the freon all leaked out. Here is an item you could use if there is a computer nearby. This could be set to email you if the temp got out of range.
