GE Automation Module Troubleshooting: Bus Error

I just installed a GE Automation Module to my Concord security system today. As of yet, I haven't hooked up the module to a computer. It has been reporting bus error some time after the system is powered up (5 - 20 min). I checked the wiring and it seems ok. It is done with cat 5 with each TP acting as one wire.

Does anyone with experience know what the cause of the bus error is most likely to be... whether it is due to bad wiring, the fact that nothing is connected on the RS232 end, or a problem with the module itself?

I just bough the same module and plan to install it this weekend. I will let you know if I have a similar problem.

A question for you, what program did you plan to use to control the alarm?
