Did you have to do anything with the Omni board other than putting it behind the router to isolate it from the rest of the network.FWIW, the microrouter solution is working for me. I've had it going that way for a few weeks and so far it's been reliable. I don't like the idea of extra pieces of gear for no "good" reason, but it's better than the cost and effort of replacing the whole system.
No. The ping response also deteriorated over time. Initially there was a small loss of packets and it increased gradually and now it is 100% loss.In my case, that setup worked for multiple weeks but the response deteriorated over time. Now I can’t get it to work again.
Can you ping the OP2 Ethernet interface?
I did power the board down completely and reset the RAM from the interface. It didn’t restore ping.If you remove power transformer / battery to restart panel can you ping it then?
Over here leaving the Ethernet cable plugged in would cause a gradual loss of ping until I reset (powered it off).
BTW have a read here.
HAI Omni engineer/developer thread
There's some valuable HAI hardware/software knowledge posted on this forum by highly skilled engineers/developers. But it's scattered all over and mixed into threads that are mainly end user questions. It would be very useful to have all of this information in one thread where developers can...cocoontech.com

I don’t see myself doing any soldering even though I have done it in the past in less risky situations. Risk of burning something else is too high here. So, unless it is a plug-in chip, it is out of the equation. I use Ethernet only for mobile app connectivity and programming via the dealer application. Luckily, I don’t use OmniTouch. So, day to day operation is fine.Nope. I just configured the microrouter and inserted it in-line with the existing ethernet connection. It's still working fine now. I haven't tried re-installing the Omnitouch, but I may do that this weekend now that everything has been stable for a few weeks.
This is a total guess, but the behavior you describe sounds like a hardware issue to me. I would double check the physical ethernet port on the board and if you don't find anything, try the Realtek replacement.
At the end of the day, I will probably still replace the whole system but this at least bought me some time.
