Ghost in my machine - random voice zone announcements

A couple of weeks ago my M1 started randomly speaking my Zone2 status which is "Zone 2 Garage [Open|Closed]"

At first I thought it was due to being a windy day blowing against the garage door, but it kept doing it. Initially it was happening every few minutes but I cycled power on the system and now it's maybe 1-2 times an hour. The only thing I can think of that happened is that I had the zone bypassed and then turned that off, but I can't remember if this was before or after the speaking started.

I tried to look in the log, but it only has 1 entry. It looks like logging is turned on, but I can't figure out why it's not logging. Also, I'm running HS with the UltraJonesM1 plugin. It gets log too, so is it possible that it's clearing the log.

Finally, there is no indication that the zone status has changed. It simply appears that it's just announcing the zone for no apparent reason (always with the same status).

I would try to short out the sensor (or open the zone) depending on the configuration and see if it may be the sensor. if it still does it try to narrow it down to the main unit it self, (remove wiring gremlins) and either open/short/add resistor right to the terminals on the board.

Zone status changes while disarmed are not logged.

Bypass the zone or shunt the zone out at the control to make it good and see if the control talks any more.

You may have what is called a "Swinger" circuit where the circuit opens and closes quickly. They are hard to find.
