HAI 6 button controller

I am having trouble with my HAI 6 button controllers. I am trying to reset them to factory default as per the product sheets and having no luck. (on/off hold A and D). Also I cant get upstart or PCA to recognize them.

Ideas?

Are you learning them as id 1, 9, 17...? These need to be learned in the room slots. Are your other switches able to be learned?
