HAI Doorstrike remote access

Is there a doorstrike setup that works with the HAI system with remote access like a push button entry or by telephone from inside? I saw that they offer keypad or access/swipe cards to access from outside, but I am needing entry access from inside. ie buzzing someone in.

thanks

You can connect a door strike to one of the outputs on an HAI using a relay and then trigger it via programming, through the console or with the phone interface. If you hook a push button to an ELK960 delay timer and hook the delay timer to a zone on the HAI (with some programming), you can have a push to open. If you hook a motion detector to a zone on the HAI and do some programming you could use it as a request to exit (RQE) PIR.

Yes. You have several very easy to implement options. You can use our access control system with a card reader and door strike or just a 3rd party door strike. It just depends on what you preference or ultimate goal.

Whether the door strike is connected to a card reader or just a 3rd party door strike controlled by an output it is quite simple to control it directly from the Omni. The most common way is to configure a user programmable button so that when it is pressed/executed the output, or card reader is on for X seconds. Usually 4-7 seconds depending on your preference.

The button will be accessible from all consoles and touch screens and the phone interface. For example I can just pick up any phone in the house and dial #313# and the front door unlocks for 5 seconds.

# within 3 seconds of picking up the phone gets the Omni's attention.
3 = run button/macro
13 = the one I want
# = go/do it

The other cool thing is that if you ever lock yourself out of the house you can call the Omni using your cell or a neighbors phone and open your door.

If you search the knowledge base at kb.homeauto.com I believe there is a step-by-step on setting this up.
