Looked through the manual and I cannot find an answer. Is there a way to dim the HAI Keypad. We are looking to put one in our bedroom, but they are so bright I am not sure that would work to well WAF wise..

There is a mod around somewhere that causes the keypad backlights to turn on and off with the display backlight. I don't know of any way to dim the keypad. If I were you, instead of a keypad in the bedroom, I'd put in a touch screen -- those go completely dark when the screen saver kicks in.
Set the keypad backlight to timed or off and it will be completely dark when not being used.
This can be set at each keypad individually.
On page 12 of the Installation Manual under Console Setup
I don't know why they didn't include this in the Owners Manual.
Press and hold 4 and the up arrow for about a second and a menu will pop up
Scroll down to "Key Backlight"
The keys can be never lit, always lit, or only lit when the LCD display is lit. Select (0)
OFF, (1) for ON, or (2) TIMED, then press the # key.
Then press and hold the 4 and up arrow keys again to save and return to operation.
This only affects the keys, not the text display.
You are correct WRT "Timed"
If you press any button the LCD backlight comes on and then goes off a few (3 I believe) minutes later.
If you set the key backlight to "Timed" they will go on and off together.

Any thoughts on changing the back-light to green? Are any other keypads compatible with HAI ?
