HAI Omni 2e basic Russound CAM 6.6 control?

I recently had to migrate an OPII to Omni 2e and the one feature I have lost is the ability to control the Russound CAM 6.6.  I understand that the Omni 2e does not support full control of the Russound features using RS232 as the OPII does-  that is OK though; all I need to do is tell the Russound to turn off all zones when the Omni 2e alarm is armed.

It seems there should be a way to do this using IR control, but I am not having good luck finding documentation for this.  Can anyone confirm this and aim me to documentation?  Or suggest another way to gracefully turn off all zones with a signal from the Omni 2e?

Thanks

Unfortunately the Russounds use a hex protocol over serial... the "All Zones On" command for example is F0 7F 00 7F 00 00 70 05 02 02 00 00 F1 22 00 00 01 00 00 01 10 F7.  I don't think you can program a pro-link serial interface to have messages that have "control characters", i.e. things that are not printable characters.

Someone could correct me if I am wrong though...

How about this-  does the CAM 6.6 respond to IR commands from a handheld remote for "All Zones Off"?  If so, shouldn't I be able to have my existing Ocelot to send that command based on a +T000xx request from the HAI Omni 2e.  Another option might be to figure out a way to have Haiku Helper intervene to send out commands to the CAM 6.6?

Another (kludgey) option would be to use the CAM6.6 12v Mute Trigger Input and configure that to mute ALL, but that would leave the keypads active and perhaps confuse users since I doubt the local keypad can override the system-level mute?
