HAI Omni Error Message

About 3AM last night, my consoles started beeping - they stated "Communicator had Trouble".

Anyone know what this could be from? This is the 1st time I've gotten this message - glad it was a message and not someone breaking in, but would like to stop it from happening again.

Is there a list of troubleshooting messages somewhere?

Thanks for the help!

Sounds like the phone line went down. Almost like a dead line detect.
I have Verizon Fios and had to turn this off because the phone line frequently goes in and out with high winds.

gopsu,

Do you have your system configured to send an automatic test signal to a central monitoring station? If so, the error message would indicate that the test failed for some reason. The system also periodically checks the operation of the digital communicator and will report this if any problems are detected.

I have a very similar weird problem. I get that around 10pm to midnight quite often, but only on one of my four keypads. I completely replaced the keypad and it still occasionally occurs on that one keypad, always at around that same time.

Do you have PC Access? If so, fire it up, select the Setup tab, and click on "Digital Communicator". The seventh item down in the list is the time that it sends the test code to the central station.

Sure enough, my system was set for weekly test on Monday's at 3am. I'll now figure out if there is a communication error.

Thanks for everyone's help! This site is great.

Usually the nightly tests are unnecessary since the system communicates whenever you arm or unarm it, and it will notify you if it can't communicate then.
