HAI Omni IIe remote access problems

Well that "intensive play" I spoke about took a little longer than I had hoped, but if anyone is still out there, I still have the intermittant problem.

It worked for a week last week, all of a sudden this morning I can't access the Omni IIe. As ever I can access other devices on the network remotely.

This has to be a panel problem surely? Port forwarding is clearly set up correctly or it would never work. The only variable in the equation is that a cleaner comes into the house and whilst I can't guarantee it, and will attempt to check for sure, I am suspecting the port forwarding is being lost after she disarms and then re arms the panel once she leaves.

...or am I simply losing it?

I think the key to solving this problem is to isolate the exact cause. When the remote access to the omni stops working can you still access it through the local LAN? Then the Omni's Ethernet port is still working. Try rebooting the router only. Does this restore the remote access? Then the problem is most likely in the router.

What I am trying to say is when this happens what is the minimum you must do to reestablish communications. Reset/reboot only one thing at a time until you isolate the one item that is causing the problem, then let's see why.
