Hai Omni LT with Omnistat and outdoor temp sensor

Hi all, I have the above setup installed. I can see the outdoor temperature properly registering when i look at PC access or listen to status on the phone or check it on the consoles (BTW it's 40 F. here in Christiansburg, VA), and I have the remote connection to my Omnistat RC-80 working properly (I can control it and see it's status) and i know that you are supposed to be able to have the outdoor temperature display on the omnistat, but how? I kind of assumed it would just start showing up, but nope, and I don't see anywhere in pc access to set up that option. All i can think is that it needs to happen via a program or something.

Anyone know how to make this happen? My wife would love this feature; She'd know at a glance how the kids need to be dressed before they go outside.

If the OmniLT is reading the outdoor temperature it should automatically broadcast it to all the thermostats once per minute. The display on the RC-80 should alternate between displaying the inside temperature and the outside temperature. There is no programming or set up needed for this. Make sure the zone type for your outdoor sensor is set to Outdoor Temperature or Extended Range Outdoor Temperature. Also, make sure that there are no other zones set to these zone types. The OmniLT will use the first zone set as one of these types as the outdoor temperature. If a zone is set to these types, but there is no input connected, the reading will be zero and it will not be sent to the thermostats.

Hi Brian, thanks for the reply! Everything you mentioned to check is OK, but I am still not getting any outdoor temp display to the thermostat. I have firmware 2.12A, could this be a factor? I already ordered the new 3.0, should be arriving this week.
Also, I had the thermostat connected and working long before I installed and hooked up the LT to it, and had it programmed internally for daily temperature changes. Could that programming be interfering somehow? BTW how do I disable that anyway? I intend to use the LT for programming from now on...

To disable internal programming on the Omnistat:

Go into setup mode
-Make sure mode is off
-Press Prog, Prog, Prog, Fan

Once in setup mode
-Use the right arrow to get to location 03 (number in the upper right corner)
-Use the up or down arrows to change the number in the middle to 5

Exit setup mode
-Press Fan to exit

I doubt the firmware level is an issue. The outside temp display has been a HAI/Omnistat feature for ages. It's one of my favorite features.

Yes! Awesome! That did the trick! THANKS!
The thermostat was still showing "EVE" after this procedure, so I popped it off the wall and disconnected the data feed to hopefully "reset" it, and then the evening indicator was gone, and after a minute it started showing the alternating outdoor/indoor temps. Not sure if it needed that "reboot" or if i wasn't patient enough, but either way, I'm in business. Thanks again!
