HAI phone message problem

I am having trouble with sending a phone message via my HAI omniproii.

the controller dials out everytime correctly
i get the call on my cell phone
but i dont hear any message-just blank static
the controller will also call me again after about 10 minutes

2. TIMED 6:58 PM 7/1
THEN PHONE 1818795xxxx AND SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Any pointers?

I'm not an HAI user but in general, these types of problems are often caused by insufficient delay between when the phone is dialed and when the message is spoken. Is there an HAI function to insert a pause? If so, add a few and try again. Even better if you have access to a butt-set with a monitor function - you'll likely find that it's announcing too early.

In addition to what W2P just stated about pauses, they are important when dialing a cell phone........... also be sure to say 'hello' when your cell phone rings...the OPII is 'listening' for a live voice. Took me a while to figure that one out

That's very interesting that the OPII "listens" for a live voice. I thought there was always a problem with mine because it would dial out fine, but when I'd answer the phone, no message would be spoken until I pressed a key on the phone. I'll have to try talking to it next time!

Be aware when saying "hello" it has problems with certain voice pitches. Never seems to have trouble with a female voice but sometimes lower pitched male voices aren't picked up......
